Chris Lalak is the founder and principal attorney at Lalak LLC. He dedicates his career to seeking justice for employees in legal claims against their employers. Chris has earned a reputation as a fierce and tenacious advocate who fights to ensure that Ohio workers are treated fairly.

A former Captain in the Marine Corps, Chris served in Iraq from 2005 to 2006. When his military service ended, Chris worked as a distribution manager for a food distribution company. Chris was first exposed to employment law while working in this role, as he became familiar with workplace laws such as the FMLA and TItle VII and their application for employers and workers. Seeking a new challenge and desiring to learn more about employment law, Chris enrolled in law school and graduated from the University of Akron Law School in 2013.

After graduation, Chris worked as an employment lawyer for a large Cleveland law firm, where he gained experience representing employers in discrimination and other employment-related lawsuits. Believing he could ultimately make a greater impact representing workers, Chris transitioned his practice and began representing employees exclusively in 2018. After four successful years representing workers and being named a Partner with a boutique plaintiff’s employment law firm, Chris founded Lalak LLC in October 2022.

Today, Chris is proud to represent employees who have been mistreated by their employers. His practice encompasses cases of discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination, and wage and hour claims on behalf of people who have not been properly paid for the hours they work.

Chris understands that his clients come to him during some of their most difficult times. He is proud to be able to help people every day and to see that he is making a real difference in their lives.

Chris takes a practical approach to practicing law, and regularly draws on his past experience representing employers to achieve successful results for his clients. Chris takes the time to listen, understands the mindset of the defendants and the lawyers that represent them, and develops creative solutions to resolve complex cases.
